Kendall Wadley donate over £1,000 from 'An audience with Geoff Burch' networking evening to the Noah's Ark Trust
Leading firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers, Kendall Wadley LLP who have offices in Worcester, Malvern and Hereford have donated over £1,000 to the Noah's Ark Trust.
The money was raised from the raffle at a networking event which was held at Sixways Stadium, the home of Worcester Warriors Rugby Club. Leading business guru, author and TV presenter, Geoff Burch entertained nearly 200 business people with his anecdotes on how to run a successful business.
The Noah's Ark Trust helps to rebuild the lives of local children living across Worcestershire and Herefordshire who have been shattered by the death of a loved one. The service is provided throughout both counties by trained Bereavement Service Coordinators, assisted by a growing team of volunteers. These volunteers offer individual support to children, young people and their parents or carers and follow up support for as long as they need it. The service is available to children aged 5 - 18 years who have suffered the loss of a close person in their lives such as a parent, sibling, grandparent or a friend.
The children are helped to come to terms with their bereavement through a variety of different methods. Children are encouraged to put together a memory box containing mementos of the person they have lost or to create a website in their memory. Children are also able to go away on weekends with other children in a similar situation so that they are able to mix, have fun but also share their feelings with one another.
Gabby Beddows, Chief Executive of the Noah's Ark Trust said,
'We are absolutely delighted to receive this generous contribution from Kendall Wadley and a special thank you also to all the delegates at the Geoff Burch event who donated so generously to the raffle. We would also like to thank the raffle sponsors, Aston Martin Racing, bmi baby, Worcester Wine Company, Worcester Golf Range, The Clip Joint Hair Salon, You in Worcester, Saffron's Restaurant and Marketing IQ who donated the prizes and to Geoff Burch himself who donated part of his fee to the charity. The money will be spent to help fund our weekend activity camps for children and their families as well as helping to fund the individual support that each child receives.'
